Purdy High School National Honor Society
The Purdy High School Aubrey Keeling Chapter of National Honor Society inducted new members at the annual NHS Banquet held March 27 in the school cafeteria. New inductees to the chapter include: (front row) Kaitlyn Carpenter and Madison Vice, juniors; Doni Craig and Megan Schilly, sophomores; (back row) Tanner Marshall and Kelton Mattingly, sophomores; and Phillip Roller, junior.
New Superintendent Hired for 2012-13 Academic Year

The Purdy R-II School Board has selected Dr. Steven Chancellor to serve as superintendent for the 2012-13 school year.
Chancellor, 32, is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri. He received his master’s degree from William Woods University and obtained a doctorate from St. Louis University in 2009. For the past 5 years he has been employed by the Belton School District in Kansas City, where he has served as the director of instruction and technology. He has also taught business education classes.
Chancellor, his wife Jillayne, and his three children will be moving to the area within the next few weeks and he will begin as superintendent on July 1.
